Women In Coffee

Fellow is proud to partner with Equator Coffees & Teas and Sprudge to host an evening of connecting, sharing wine and stories, and discussion for women in the coffee community-

We welcome Eileen Rinaldi (Ritual Coffee Roasters), Rachel Konte (Red Bay Coffee Roasters), Helen Russell (Equator Coffee Roasters), and Trish Rothgeb (Wrecking Ball Coffee Roasters) as they lead a discussion on the challenges that women in the coffee industry currently face. How can we dismantle the old systems which harm women and prevent them from succeeding? What can we do to assure our workplaces are a safe and inclusive space for everyone?

The discussion will be bookended with food and refreshments (provided by other rad lady-business-owners!), plus a chance to mingle and meet all the inspiring people in the room!

This event is open to participants of all gender-identities and orientations. Can't make it? Sprudge will be livecasting the discussion to give people who aren't able to make it the opportunity to tune in.

Space is limited- reserve your ticket soon! We hope to see you here!

*As well as funding the event, ticket proceeds will be donated to the International Women's Coffee Alliance (IWCA), which helps support and empower women in coffee around the globe.

The Fellow Playground

This is your space to play — to brew a cup, share a tip, take a class, or just talk shop.Whether you’re new to specialty coffee or a World Brewers Cup Champion, the Playground exists to help you explore and push your understanding of coffee in a community setting. If the Playground is the vehicle, then coffee is the fuel. Think of each spin in the Playground as a nanoclass that allows you to learn and experiment – one test tube at a time. Our Brew Guides are here to show you how to coax the most flavor out of each bean and brew method. Wherever you start today, enjoy the never ending quest for the perfect cup of coffee.

Speakers

Eileen rinaldi

Founder and CEO - Ritual Coffee Roasters

Ritual has been a pioneer in this delicious shift in coffee consciousness since we opened our doors on Valencia Street in 2005 and started what some call a coffee revolution in San Francisco. Our goal then--and our goal now--is to craft the very best cup of coffee available anywhere. Period. We've learned a lot over the years, but the care and attention we lavish on our process is unchanged, including tasting every coffee several times before it goes out to our coffee bars and into your cup.
